About Mrs. Roon

Welcome 4th Graders & Families,

It's hard to believe but it's that time of the year again - the beginning of a new school year! My name is Stephanie Roon and I will be your child’s teacher. There is so much excitement approaching us as we think about new teachers and students to meet, new books to read, new activities and concepts to master, etc… and I look forward to you sharing in all of these exciting times.  Fourth grade is always a memorable year for students as they become more experienced leaders of the school!

This is my 4th year at Fox Hollow Elementary and I am so excited to continue working with the FHE community! I am entering my 19th year as a teacher. I have taught 2nd-6th grades, but my passion has always been teaching 4th grade. I graduated from the University of Toledo, OH with my degree in Elementary Education and received my master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Phoenix University shortly after moving to Colorado almost 20 years ago. I have been married to my husband, Kris, for  a little over 19 years. Together we love to travel, snowboard, play games, and hike with our dog-ter Lucy (almost 4 yrs old old German Shepherd). I also enjoy reading, gardening/pulling weeds, swimming, and LEGO-ing!

Please contact me anytime if you have questions, comments, or concerns by e-mailing me at sroon@cherrycreekschools.org. You can take the time to visit my classroom blog throughout the year that can be found at http://mrsroonsroom17.blogspot.com.  I will be posting important information, useful sites, pictures, and interesting things happening with our class throughout the year.

Thank you for your commitment to your child's education and success and I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Roon
